Selected oral and poster presenters are members of the ICP and receive no compensation.  Abstracts are selected based on content and submission date.  Views expressed by the presenters at the ICP Meeting are solely their own and do not necessarily reflect the positions or policies of the ICP.  The ICP reserves the right to cancel or modify its program as circumstances might dictate.

We encourage all members to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.  Oral presentations will be selected based on content and submission date.  All posters related to presentation topics (see below) will be accepted (based on available conference room space).

Young Prosthodontists Award (YPA) Poster Competition  Participants must confirm participation by marking both boxes below.  Please read YPA Eligibility and Requirement below before submitting your poster abstract for YPA consideration.

  I am dentist who is enrolled in or has completed a formal post-doctoral prosthodontic program or its equivalent, within two (2) years preceding the submission date of the abstract for a given scientific meeting.

Instructions:
letter must be submitted on the same day as your abstract paper.  Letter must state presenter's name and include title of abstract.

Young Prosthodontist Poster Award

The Young Prosthodontist Poster Award (YPA) competition focuses on clinical reports, either single case reports or case series.  Posters should clearly demonstrate a treatment protocol performed by the presenter.  The treatment should be supported with “best evidence” from the literature where applicable.

ELIGIBILITY: A dentist who is enrolled in or has completed a formal post-doctoral prosthodontic program or its equivalent, within two (2) years preceding the submission date of the abstract for a given scientific meeting.  Presenter must be a member of the ICP.
REQUIREMENT: All submissions for the Young Prosthodontist Award must be accompanied by a letter from the Program Director of the applicant stating that the applicant is still in the training program or is within the first two years after completion of the formal training program.  If this letter is not submitted with your abstract you will not be considered for the Young Prosthodontist Award.
CRITERIA:
The award will be conferred to the eligible candidate who is judged to deliver the best YPA poster presentation at the Biennial Scientific Meeting.
ADJUDICATION: Judges may elect to nominate runners-up. If there are insufficient entries or the standard of presentations does not warrant recognition, the judges may elect not to nominate awards.
PRESENTATION: The award will be presented at the ICP Banquet.
PRIZE: $3000 USA will be awarded to the winner and up to $2000 can be divided among runners-up. Where the winner is a student, or where the presentation is substantially based on work undertaken while a student, a plaque will be presented to the University concerned.
PRIZE STATUS: The ICP reserves the right to cancel or modify conditions of awards, at any time. Changes will be posted in the International Journal of Prosthodontics or ICP Newsletter.
NOMINATION:
Persons meeting the selection criteria must fulfill the specified requirements for the call for papers and clearly mark on such documentation their intention to be considered for the award. 

Poster Award

Awards will be presented to the most outstanding poster presented at the Biennial Meeting.

ELIGIBILITY: Author of any poster presented at the meeting will be eligible for the prize.
ADJUDICATION: Judges will review the posters, and may nominate runners up
PRESENTATION: The prize will be awarded at the ICP Banquet.
PRIZE: A cash prize of $1000 USA may be awarded to the winner and up to $1000 may be awarded to runners-up.
NOMINATION: All posters will be included for judging.  Due to the large number of posters submitted, poster abstracts will be reviewed upon submission.  A limited number of abstracts will be considered for poster award nomination, based on the quality of the abstract.  If your poster is selected for Poster Award nomination, presenters will be expected to make a brief oral presentation clarifying their poster.
PUBLICATION: Abstracts with definitive scientific data will be considered for publication in the IJP.
ATTENDANCE: Poster authors must be the presenter and are required to be present during Poster Session.  Presenters who fail to attend the meeting will have their abstract removed from publication and consideration for awards.
